King Henry sends his most trusted servant, Cardinal Wolsey on a mission to make the Church accept Henry’s plea for a divorce. Meanwhile he grows more and more in love with Anne, whom plants suspicion in his mind about Wolsey’s true motives. When Wolsey returns with bad news for the couple, Henry looses confidence in his cardinal.
