According to Official London Theatre, Natalie is involved in a new play called .45 which will show at Hampstead Theatre in November! Here is a little bit of information.

Milam will direct .45, by fellow American Lennon, from 2 to 27 November with a cast that includes Natalie Dormer (Sweet Nothings at the Young Vic) and Daniel Caltagirone. A tale of revenge set in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen, .45 follows work-shy Ed, who is determined to live the American Dream one robbery at a time. A batch of new old stills from Sweet Nothings have been added to the gallery, thanks so much to Annika for those! Also if any of you have glanced at Natalie’s IMDB profile recently you’ll know that it has her listed as being part of the new Captain America cast. If this is true then it’s amazing news but as far as I’m aware no cast announcements including Natalie have been made, so for now I think we’ll have to class it as a rumor.

The Telegraph is reporting today that Natalie has been cast as Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother in Madonna’s new film about the Edward VIII abdication crisis!

Much missed since her death in 2002, Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother is to be subjected to a radical new portrayal by Madonna. Mandrake can disclose that the American singer has cast an actress who appeared as Anne Boleyn in the television series The Tudors to perform the role of Queen Elizabeth in a film that she is making about the Edward VIII abdication crisis.

“This country tends to remember the Queen Mother as a rather wrinkly 97 year-old, but I am playing her when she was quite an enchanting, engaging twenty and thirtysomething,” Natalie Dormer told me. “She was quite a savage and savvy game player.”

Empire have announced today that Natalie has signed onto a new project! According to a few sources Natalie will star in an adaptation of horror/fantasy novel Shadowland. The film will be shot in 3D and she will star opposite Bill Nighy! Nothing has been released about who Natalie will play, but hopefully that will come soon, you can read a very brief overview of the novel below.

Shock ‘Till You Drop brings word that PFG Entertainment is gearing up a film based on the book, which finds a pair of university students charmed into a world of magic and danger by an older man (played, we assume, by Nighy, since he’s got the charismatic chops to make the role work). The two leads are initially seduced by the powerful spells they’re exposed to, but soon must face a devastating choice between the forces of evil and saving their lives.

Natalie Dormer, last seen having her noggin sliced off as Anne Boleyn in TV series The Tudors, has also signed on for a role.

I’m not a huge fan of horror, but this sounds like a classy kind of horror :p And how good will it be to see Natalie up on the big screen and in 3D! Very exciting!
